A Perspective from the Past

As we countdown toward Music Forward and celebrate the accomplishments of the many graduates of the Portland State Music Department, it seems appropriate to look back in gratitude at those individuals whose vision and determination provided the springboard for what we have been able to accomplish.  John Trudeau,  Esteemed Chair of the Music Department, and Dean of the School of Fine and Performing Arts was one of those special individuals.  in 1976, thanks in large part to his efforts, Portland State celebrated the opening of a renovated and much improved Lincoln Hall.  Here is an archived article in the Portland State University Perspective about that remarkable achievement and what it meant to the PSU community at the time.
